Summary
Job Description:
ER Tech Part-Time
1st Shift
Description:
Assistwith patient admission, orientation to room and safety features, and securing valuables.
Obtain vital signs, apply cardiac monitors, and performEKG testing
Support nurses and providers in patient care, including transfers, discharges, splinting, and wound care.
Collect blood, urine, and other specimens followinghospitalpolicy.
Recognize and report abnormal heart rhythms or vital signs to the care team.
Maintain clean, stocked, and safe patient care areas;locateand manage equipment.
Communicate professionally with patients, families, and staff to promote a positive environment.
Adhere to hospital policies, infection control, and safety standards whileparticipatingin requiredtrainings.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Glucometer Training
Previouslaboratory or customer service experience preferred.
Data entry and computer experience and /or phlebotomy, point of care testing experience preferred.
Nursing Assistant experience or prior phlebotomy training/experience is preferred
New employees requiring CPR-Basic Life Support (BLS)-American Heart Association should receive (CPR) training within the first week of orientation.
