Overview

The Facilities Maintenance Technician I under general supervision, maintains, repairs, and modifies credit union facilities including the corporate headquarters building, branch locations, grounds, and parking lots. Supports special events as needed.


Responsibilities

    Receives and completes daily routine written facilities work orders and verbal instructions from manager and department colleagues within departmental guidelines.
  • Creates work orders on facilities work order system to report and track safety and maintenance work orders per departmental procedures and guidelines. Promptly communicates any safety issues needing immediate action to Facilities management.
  • Completes daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly routine maintenance tasks in a consistent and thorough manner.
  • Responsible for conference room set-up requirements and prepares rooms with appropriate seating and table accommodations based on direction/requests. Checks all conference rooms daily in the morning to ensure rooms are properly arranged in neat, organized order (e.g. tables, chairs at the tables, white boards clean, markers available, and lights working); performs general clean-up to ensure that the room is ready for future use.
  • Performs office furniture repair, interior/exterior painting in the Headquarters, Logix branches and completes other assigned maintenance tasks as needed. Informs Facilities management when work scope requires third party assistance.
  • Monitors and performs carpet and ceiling tile repairs as needed. Maintains adequate stock and reports replenishing needs to management.
  • Monitors and replaces filters as needed in specified locations.
  • Maintains positive relationships with all vendors to ensure prompt service.
  • Monitors third party furniture reconfigurations to ensure accurate and complete work.
  • Performs storage box relocation services for various departments throughout the headquarters and branches.
  • Notifies and arranges for company vehicle maintenance services upon Facilities management’s approval.
  • Performs janitorial duties as needed.
  • Provides prompt, efficient, and courteous service to internal customers; follows up and keeps them informed of the service progress.
  • Work within their own team and have a direct impact on their own tasks.
  • Assists with workstation relocations.
  • Responsible for maintaining exterior and interior furniture.
  • Assist with mailroom coverage.
  • Responsible for pressure washing balcony and other exterior areas of the HQ building.


Qualifications

  • Min/Preferred: Preferred
  • Education Level: Vocational / Technical
  • Description: One year certificate from college or technical school preferred. Must complete Introduction to Construction Technology certification class within one year of hired date.
  • Minimum Years of Experience: 0
  • Preferred Years of Experience: 2
  • Comments: Must have 0-2 years of facilities and maintenance experience, including repair of office furniture in a corporate office environment.
Knowledge, Skills & Ability
  • Must be able to work individually or in a team when required.
  • Must have working knowledge of terminology, methods, practices, tools, and procedures related to maintenance and repair and/or basic knowledge of building/construction trade.
  • Working knowledge of computer software, such as Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Valid California Driver’s License and successful DMV driving background check.
  • General knowledge of heating, ventilating, cooling, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and modular furniture workstation systems.
  • Ability to understand scaled construction and installation drawings.
  • Experience working in a corporate office environment preferred.
  • Learn and discover existing tools and process to apply them along with their academic knowledge to achieve tasks.

Pay Range

USD $21.27 – USD $31.90 /Hr.
