Excellent financial package on offer including a car, interviewing now!Job Summary: Eden are excited to be working with this family known to Eden , they are looking for for a professional and educational-focused Governess/Governor for their 15-year-old son. A driver is essential. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in a similar role who is proactive in organising activities, supporting the teenager with his learning (Additional tutors also hired), managing his busy schedule requirements and liaising with parent groups, school advisors, teachers and tutors regarding objectives, progress and development. This is a fully staffed home; you will need to be a driver, and a car will be provided for personal and work useJob specification:

• School picks up
• Managing his school and social calendar, liaising with the school, teachers and parents
• Managing all appointments including medical, dental etc.
• Overseeing his homework, assisting where needed – keeping on top of all projects, workbooks etc.
• Responsible for all is educational needs
• Encouraging independence, teaching good manners while promoting intellectual, academic and social development
• To encourage and provide leisure activities, extra curriculum and educational excursions.
• Procurement and sourcing items required for school, sporting equipment and leisure activities.
• Expected to travel with the family during some of the school holidays ( maybe once a year )
• Menu planning and liaising with the chef to promote nutritious, well-balanced meals. Overseeing these meals from breakfast, lunch and dinner. Assistance with breakfast and light meals.
• Wardrobe management and packing for trips and holidays. – making sure sports bags are packed and replacing any items that are needed

Candidate specification:

• It is essential you have experience in a similar role with teenager children
• A university degree is a must from a reputable university
• A Teaching Qualification and strong knowledge of the National Curriculum for England and the British Independent Curriculum.
• Teaching experience and qualifications required. Someone who is competent with GCSE’s studies – an interest in drama and public speaking and an additional language would also be a bonus.
• This is a very busy home, you will need to be super organised, structured with excellent communication skills
• A drive is required- a car is available for you to use daily and to take home
