Enhances documentation accuracy and supports compliance efforts by performing monthly audits, monitoring delinquent clinical documentation, initiating review and correction for Patient Amendment Requests, and validates chart quality for certifications. Reviews documentation to ensure adherence to The Joint Commission (TJC) standards and Rules and Regulations of the Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center Medical Staff. Ensures the organization’s commitment to maintaining TJC accreditation and providing safe, high-quality patient care.
Salary range is $65,001 – $82,656 which includes a comprehensive benefits package. The listed pay range reflects the range of potential compensation for this role. The actual offer may vary based on qualifications, skills, and experience.
Required Education and Experience
Certification Requirement
Certification registered with the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) or National Cancer Registrars Association (NCRA), including but not limited to Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT), or Oncology Data Specialist (ODS).
Education and Experience
1. Bachelor’s degree in a Health Information Management program; or
2. Associate’s degree in a Health Information Management program and the equivalent of one (1) year of full-time RPCI Health Information Management experience with knowledge of medical terminology; or
3. Associates degree in a health-related field and the equivalent of three (3) years of full-time Health Information experience with knowledge of medical terminology; or
4. Associates degree and the equivalent of four (4) years of full-time Health Information experience with knowledge of medical terminology.
NOTE:
Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited school, college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.
