The innovative pharmaceutical industry operates in a complex, rapidly changing environment and we are looking for highly enthusiastic and capable people to help accomplish our mission.Position Overview:As an HR Associate, you will be an integral member of Lilly Canada’s HR team. You will interact with all levels of our organization, both within Canada and with Lilly’s Global teams, and you will be responsible for a number of key policies and programs that directly impact the employee experience. You will play an important role in ensuring that our HR policies continue to evolve to reflect current and future needs, and that our processes remain well controlled and compliant. You will lead various HR projects and will have the opportunity to get involved in many facets of HR.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:HR Projects and Policies (50%)

• Own key Lilly Canada HR policies. Maintain knowledge of external benchmarks; recommend, implement and communicate policy changes as required. Partner with Lilly Global HR team to plan for upcoming changes and to apply best practices.
• Respond to questions and escalations from employees and managers.
• Disability Case Management for selected teams.
• Lead high priority projects for the Canadian affiliate. Identify affiliate needs, partner with local HR team, leadership team and Lilly Global centres of excellence to develop and implement needed solutions.
• Monitor compliance with HR policies and Canadian employment regulations; identify trends and risks; recommend and implement appropriate actions.
• Serve as HR Workday Champion in Canada – identify local needs and collaborate with Lilly Global centres of excellence to develop and implement solutions; develop and lead manager and employee training as required.
• Seek ways to proactively improve organizational processes and outcomes; implement solutions that are aligned and consistent with HR best practices.

Ownership and Administration of the Lilly Canada Fleet Program (50%)

• Continuously evaluate Lilly Canada’s Fleet Program to ensure alignment with Eli Lilly and Company’s strategy and competitiveness within the Canadian market.
• Provide strategic recommendations to reduce costs and drive program efficiencies; use knowledge of business and data to facilitate business decisions.
• Collaborate closely with our Finance and Operations team to finalize the annual fleet selector list and lead communications with employees eligible for a new order.
• Manage relationship with external vendors including performance assessments, contract renewals/extensions and escalations, and day to day questions.
• Handle daily activities and interactions with employees including questions, escalations, tolls/infractions and vehicle assignments.
• Initiate, implement and communicate policy updates as needed.
• Lead Fleet Safety program including driver safety training, risk assessments and implementation of local and global safety requirements
• Identify and report insights and trends; seek ways to proactively improve organizational processes and outcomes; implement solutions that are aligned and consistent with global HR best practices.
• Design and implement a long-term plan for the decarbonization and electrification of our fleet based on Global goals and learnings from various other affiliates.

Experience and Qualifications:

• Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in one of the following areas – HR, Legal, Business.
• Minimum of 2 years HR experience including experience working with employees, managers and vendors.
• Proven interpersonal and communication skills to interact with all levels of an organization.
• Comfortably work with ambiguity.
• Demonstrate high learning agility.
• Bilingual (French/English) strongly preferred
