We are looking for a Logistics Assistant to join the GFP team, based at Brigg, on a permanent, full-time basis.You will be assisting with planning and co-ordination of seed production and the logistics of bulk and packed product delivery, to meet the commercial requirements of the business whilst maximising efficiency and upholding quality, health, safety, and environmental standards.The Benefits

About You

• Previous experience of an administrative or logistics role would be useful but not essential as full training will be provided.
• Full driving licence.
• Able to cope under pressure and work towards deadlines.
• A flexible approach to working hours specifically in peak periods.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships both internally and externally.
• Attention to detail and accurate record keeping.
• Ability to work co-operatively with others and without supervision.
• IT literate with experience of using Microsoft office.
• Strong numeracy and literacy skills.

Your RoleAs a Logistics Assistant your role will involve:

• Assisting Logistics & Production departments to meet customer requirements.
• Contacting farmers regarding loading requirements.
• Arranging haulage of seed inwards.
• Supporting the delivery of seed out to customers.
• Complying with company procedures and customer requirements regarding transportation and storage of seed to produce desired levels of product quality and service.
• Participating in daily meetings for seed production.
• Supporting the creation of Production Instructions for the factory teams.
• Ensuring administrative procedures are followed for production and logistics.
