Wage: $28.92 – $35.05/hour
Shift: 2nd
Hours: 3:00pm – 11:00pm (Monday – Friday)

QPS Employment Group has a great opportunity available for a Maintenance Journeyman at a company in Sheboygan, WI. This is a direct hire position for 2nd shift. Apply now!

Maintenance Journeyman Responsibilities:
– Conducting routine inspections and maintenance on manufacturing equipment, building systems, HVAC, and safety systems
– Reading blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, and manuals
– Diagnosing and repairing mechanical failures, and electrical/control systems
– Utilizing hand and power tools, and testing equipment like multimeters and precise gauges
– Managing lockout/tagout procedures and adhering to standards
– Installing, maintaining, and repairing wiring and electrical systems
– Performing light welding and fabrication to repair equipment
– Replacing mechanical parts and aligning components
– Completing detailed maintenance logs, reports, and work orders
– Providing technical guidance to teams
– Coordinating maintenance activities with production schedules and other departments
Requirements for Maintenance Journeyman:
– High School Diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or at least 7+ years of maintenance experience
– Ability to analyze and troubleshoot mechanical problems which may include electrical or hydraulic components
– Strong technical/computer skills; ability to read equipment manuals
– Ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate with team
– Ability to stand, bend, reach, grab, and twist repetitively and for long periods
