Maintenance Support Tech I/II/III (Crane) – (2403073)
Position Information
Do you like supporting your co-workers and providing excellent customer service? Are you organized and able to perform clerical tasks? If so, come join us at TxDOT’s Crane Maintenance Office as the Maintenance Support Tech. This position keeps the office running day to day, assisting with phone calls, meetings, employee onboarding, orders and procurement, data entry, timesheets, and many other essential functions. The ideal candidate is able to communicate and respond quickly and professionally via phone or email to members of the public, coworkers, and local government stakeholders. Salary Grade/Plan:
Maintenance Support Tech I (A13): $35,439 – $52,388
Maintenance Support Tech II (A15): $38,976 – $58,045
Maintenance Support Tech III (A17) $42,976 – $64,469
This position is for (1) Maintenance Support Tech. The Texas Department of Transportation reserves the sole right in determining the level of position based on the applicant’s work experience, education, skill level, and all other appropriate factors, and based on business needs

Performs administrative support-related work in a maintenance office or district headquarters. Work requires contact with private entities. Employees at this level perform work independently on assignments; however, all unusual issues are referred to the supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: High School Grad or Equivalent in general education.
Experience:
Maintenance Support Tech I:
None
Maintenance Support Tech II:
1 YEAR in administrative or clerical support, customer service, or related experience.
(Experience can be satisfied by fulltime or prorated part time equivalent)
Maintenance Support Tech III:
3 YEARs in administrative or clerical support, customer service, or related experience. (Experience can be satisfied by fulltime or prorated parttime equivalent)
Licenses and Certifications:
Maintenance Support Tech I, II,III
Valid driver’s license. This position requires driving a state vehicle
