Koch Fertilizer Wever, LLC is looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our Maintenance team in Wever, Iowa. This individual will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our operations. You will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and implementing solutions that enhance the performance and safety of our production facilities. Your expertise will help us maintain our commitment to operational excellence and continuous improvement.
What You Will Do
- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on a variety of industrial equipment and systems, including pumps, motors, conveyors, and valves.
- Diagnose mechanical issues to minimize downtime and improve operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with operations and engineering teams to implement maintenance strategies and improvements.
- Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment and systems.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and safety standards.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities for process optimizations and cost reductions.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications
- Willing and able to meet all physical requirements:
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Bending, kneeling, lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to climb straight ladders. Some work may require heights in excess of 100 feet.
- Wearing industrial chemical plant uniforms and PPE as required.
What Will Put You Ahead
- Fertilizer manufacturing experience.
- Experience working with rotating and/or fixed equipment in an industrial setting
- Associate degree or technical certification in industrial maintenance or related field.
- Ability to diagnose electrical and instrumentation issues.
