The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate’s educational background, skills and professional experience.

Manager – Emergency Screening Department

Responsible for supervising staff members in the performance of their duties and insuring that the Emergency Screening department is in compliance with all applicable policies, laws and regulations.

A Typical Day:

• Assists staff in case management functions appropriate
• Brings all unusual situations, incidents, or difficulties encountered in the provision of emergency services to the attention if the Director of Emergency Services or his/her designate.
• Coordinates with the Assistant Director, staff schedules in order to provide 24 hour coverage, seven days per week.
• Completes performance evaluations.
• Participates in supervising overall program operations.
• Provides supervision and reviews client charts for accuracy and completeness and brings any discrepancies to the attention of the department management.
• Supervises and develops the implementation if treatment plans for clients based upon the team assessment.
• Supervises the triage if in-coming clients and assigns cases to staff members as appropriate
• Performs all other duties as assigned

To be considered:

• Master’s Degree in social work, psychology or related clinical field required.
• Certified New Jersey Mental Health Screener or immediately eligible within six months of hire required
• Three years’ experience in a mental health setting, preferably in crisis intervention/emergency services; and two years supervisory experience in crisis setting.
• Familiarity with registration and billing experience
