Job Title: Mechanical Assembler

Job Description

We are seeking skilled Mechanical Assemblers to join our team in one of our three assembly departments. We have three openings available, with positions in the Magnet Assembly, Soldering, and Medical Assembly departments. The first shift runs from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday to Friday, and the second shift operates from 2:30 PM to 1:00 AM, Monday to Thursday, with a shift differential. You will be working with brakes and clutches used in a variety of applications, including medical devices and farm equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform mechanical assembly of brakes and clutches used in surgical robots, gurneys, hospital beds, and MRI machines.
  • Utilize hand and power tools for assembly tasks.
  • Work with blueprints and schematics to ensure accurate assembly.
  • Perform soldering tasks and use epoxy machines as required.
  • Handle measuring tools like calipers and micrometers with precision.
  • Maintain attention to detail in a low volume, high product mix environment.

Essential Skills

  • experience in mechanical or electro-mechanical assembly (minimum 1 year).
  • Proficiency with measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers (at least 6 months).
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
  • Mechanical inclination and aptitude for assembly tasks.
  • Strong independent work ethic and ability to stay on task.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with hobby auto mechanics or medical assembly is advantageous.
  • Capability to work with hand and power tools effectively.
  • Understanding of assembly processes and techniques.

Work Environment

Work in a climate-controlled, clean manufacturing environment with bench assembly for mechanical brakes, gear motors, and drives. As a leader in automation technology, our environment is spacious and well-conditioned, ensuring employees remain clean throughout their shifts. Gloves are required during assembly to protect against oils and adhesives.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.70 – $25.00/hr.
