Unit Overview:

5G/H is a42 bedtelemetry unit specializing in complex patients with multiple co-morbidities, palliative care, colorectal surgeries with progressive ERAS protocols, and MDRO patients. The patient population is transferred from ICU,EDand PACU.

Job Description:

Under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN) or other licensed care teammember:

• Provides direct patient care and related support by performing selected nursing procedures.

• Performs routine duties toassistmedical and nursing personnel in the examination, treatment, and care of patients.

Minimum education, experience, Training and Licensures Required:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

• Current Kentucky Nurse Aide Certificationrequiredor successful completion of first year of a Nursing program and validation of a clinical rotation consistent with level of education.

• Must provide a letter from their school verifying the completion of theirfirst yearclinicals.

• BasicLifeSupport- Applicants will have30 daysfrom their hired date to provide completion of this certification if theydon’thave it already.
