Description

Tufts University, Department of Romance Studies, is soliciting applications for a Part-Time Lecturer position in French for the 2026-2027 academic year (with the possibility of renewal contingent on program needs and course enrollments) to teach two (2) or three (3) French language courses in the Fall of 2026 and one (1) or two (2)in the Spring of 2027. The courses will range in levels from elementary to intermediate French. The position includes benefits.


Qualifications

An M.A. in French, Applied Linguistics, or equivalent; Ph.D. preferred. Previous college-level teaching experience is required. Native or near-native fluency in French is essential. Familiarity with language teaching technology and methodology is preferred.

Per the Part-time Lecturer Collective Bargaining Agreement the per course rate for AY 2026-2027 is $9,669.
