position Overview

The Payment Operations Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of customer accounts. This position is responsible for managing payment transactions, reconciling financial records, and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner. The specialist will collaborate closely with accounting and finance teams, provide regular updates on payment status, and maintain compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. By leveraging strong technical skills and attention to detail, this role supports efficient payment processing and contributes to overall financial control and operational excellence.

Responsibilities:

Payment Accuracy & Reconciliation

• Reconcile payment transactions with financial records for accuracy.
• Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Collaborate with accounting and finance teams for accurate payment recording.
• Provide management with regular updates on payment status and financial metrics.

Reporting & Analysis

• Generate and analyze payment reports to monitor trends and performance.

Compliance & Controls

• Ensure compliance with payment processing regulations and company policies.

Systems & Process Management

• Utilize payment processing systems and software to manage payments efficiently.

Requirements:

• Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
• Strong technical/system knowledge (Excel, Salesforce, QAD).
• 1-3 years of relevant business experience.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
• Experience with AI tools encouraged

Salary Range: $45,000 – $55,000, additional 7% annual bonus
