Job descriptionPE teacher – Manchester – Summer termProspero Teaching are looking for a PE Teacher for a Secondary school in Manchester. The role will be for the summer term from after the Easter break until the end of the current academic year.This particular school there is a very supportive & welcoming PE department. The school is going from strength to strength and providing lots of CPD throughout the year.You will be required to teach classes across key stage 3 and key stage 4. It would also be advantageous if you have previously coached a netball, hockey or rounders team.The position is open to both ECTs and experienced teachers.CONTRACT DETAILSLocation ManchesterPosition PE TeacherType of work PE TeacherStart date January 2025Duration 2 termsEnd date July 2025Full timeMinimum rate of pay GBP162.31 per dayHours 8:30 am 4pm, plus parents evenings and departmental meetings as requiredEXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONSQTS, QTLS or equivalentMinimum 1 year teaching experience in the UKUp to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (essential, however training can be provided)Up to date Prevent Awareness training issued in the last 3 years (essential, however training can be provided)TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:Hold Right to Work in the UKHold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new applicationProvide two professional child related referencesIf you would like to be considered for this role, please apply with a copy of your up to date CV.
