Roles and Responsibilities:

• Supports development of identifying appropriate cycle, TAKT and product throughput time.
• Review production and labor daily
• Supports development of line designs, workstation and operational definitions.
• Support development of line and workstation design. This will include assessments and adjustments to enhance productivity and adjust capacity as needed.
• Able to apply concepts such as DFA/DFM, Lean Manufacturing/DFT, Poka-Yoke, etc.
• Supports setting up processes that include a variety of materials including wood, metal, plastic and glass.
• Assists in developing processes that are safe and ergonomically suitable
• Develops, communicates and participates in implementing manufacturing process strategies capable of producing defect free products that consistently meet customer requirements for value and pricing.
• Conducts root cause investigations
• Develops root cause investigations
• Develops work instructions and OMS
• Plans and identifies fixture and hand tools, incorporating mistake proofing into the process.

* Ideal candidate must reside near Santa Claus Indiana as this role works onsite Monday – Friday.

* This position is an hourly shop floor role.

* Relocation assistance will not be provided.

* Wood manufacturing experience preferred.

The Process Engineer is responsible for conducting studies and implementing the best sequence of the operations and work flow. Suggests methods to ensure the maximum utilization of facilities, equipment and human resource to deliver a process capable of producing 100% on time and defect free.

Responsible for providing the technical expertise linking design requirements with production realities.
