The program of Enteric and Respiratory Infections under the Infectious Diseases Division conducts research with the Virology Laboratory and vaccine trial unit for multiple projects like RSV, Polio, HEV, Flu vaccine etc. of the program to achieve this goal icddr,b is working for controlling enteric infections, detecting and controlling emerging and re-emerging infections with the collaboration of the relevant government and non-government stakeholders. The position to be recruited under the Virology Laboratory and vaccine trial unit will work under direct supervision and report to the Analyst Programmer of IT.

• The Programmer will be responsible for developing software applications and performing development work such as coding, testing, debugging, updating and maintaining software applications, writing database scripts and providing software support to internal stakeholders under the technical supervision of Information Technology department. S/he will be involved in:
• Design database using SQL Server and develop applications using X++, C#, Angular, ASP.NET, .NET Core MVC, Web API following SDLC;
• Update application according to the new requirements;
• Coordinate with researchers to understand the requirements/data needs and process flow of the projects;
• Prepare detailed technical document of the design;
• Setup production environment and perform back-end administrative tasks in order to utilize those software as needed;
• Collect feedback from users on existing programs for any changes required and make necessary changes;
• Provide continuous technical support for user queries related to D365FO ERP systems;
• Provide required technical training to ensure smooth operation and continual improvement for the end-users;
• Setup test environment and conduct various tests to check for the robustness of the program and check for accuracy;
• Check data inconsistency according to the requirements and logic;
• Develop reports using Power BI and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
• Manage codebase using popular code repository.

Required qualifications and experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/CSE or a relevant subject.
• 3 years of experience in the software development domain in a reputed organization, with the ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and conduct field visits.
• Must have knowledge in developing application software using C#, Angular, ASP.NET, .NET Core MVC, Web API.
• Must have good knowledge in MS SQL Server database and code repository
• Knowledge of D365FO ERP, DevOps, Power BI, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and X++ is desirable.
• Prior knowledge in Android application development using Native Android (Java/Kotlin) and SQLite will be preferred.
