Quarry Maintenance Mechanic (Night Shift)

THIS IS A NIGHT-SHIFT position (4pm – 2am)

This non-exempt position performs maintenance on quarry plants.

Welding, repair and fabrication on rock crushing equipment associated with a quarry operation..
• Performing other related duties as assigned or requested

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Frequently requires the ability to sit, talk and hear. Frequently requires the ability to stand, walk, use hands/fingers, reach, climb or balance, stoop, kneel or crouch. Frequently requires the ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
Requires following specific types of vision: close, distance, peripheral, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Work environment – field settings. Conditions may include all or some of the following: moderate noise level to high noise levels, exposure to mechanical parts, high, precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, outside weather conditions and vibration, wet and/or humid (non-weather) conditions, high/precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, toxic/caustic chemicals, outside weather conditions, risk of electrical shock, work with explosives and vibration.

• Must possess 3-5 years of related experience, but does not have to be industry specific.
• Welding certification is preferred.
