Job Description

As a Security Officer – Tech Facility Patrol in Dallas, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer at a fast-paced tech, media, and telecom location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support access control and badge activity, respond to calls for assistance, and deliver professional customer service through clear communication and teamwork. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license under Allied Universal driver policy requirements.

What You’ll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, guests, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a tech, media, and/or telecom setting.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating key details to site leadership and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of offices, production spaces, parking areas, and perimeter points, helping to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
  • Monitor access points and visitor flow, verify authorization as required, and report irregularities through written logs and/or electronic reports.
  • Operate site systems and complete routine checks such as doors, gates, lighting, alarms, and/or cameras, escalating maintenance and/or security-related concerns per post orders.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • Being comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
