Job Summary

This role is responsible for overseeing field operations across multiple construction projects, ensuring alignment of staffing, scheduling, quality, and safety objectives. The position collaborates closely with operations leadership, project teams, and field personnel to support successful project execution. The ideal candidate has prior biotech or pharmaceutical industry experience and demonstrates strong leadership, coordination, and problem-solving capabilities. This role requires the ability to manage multiple priorities, support field teams, and travel extensively across project sites within the United States.

Work locations may include Raleigh, NC; Birmingham, AL; Indianapolis, IN; Denver, CO; San Francisco, CA; and Seattle, WA.

Job Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with Operations leadership to assign Superintendent and Foreman roles across projects

  • Align trade field assignments with project requirements and project timelines

  • Support Superintendents throughout all phases of project execution

  • Review project schedules with field leadership to ensure critical milestones and Required On Job (ROJ) dates are achieved

  • Document and communicate field issues impacting budget, quality, or schedule to project management teams

  • Respond to subcontractor inquiries related to field conditions and project impacts

  • Oversee the development and maintenance of the Resource Allocation Control System (RACS)

  • Provide guidance on the implementation and maintenance of Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) programs

  • Identify and support self-perform opportunities, including proposal development and execution oversight

  • Collaborate with safety leadership to implement and maintain safety programs

  • Manage performance tracking processes for field trades personnel

  • Support succession planning and career development initiatives for high-potential trades employees

  • Oversee training and development programs for trades personnel

  • Partner with business development, estimating, and project leadership to support operational planning for new project pursuits

  • Assist in the development of logistics plans and schedules during pre-construction and early project phases

  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Job Requirements

  • Ability to travel 50% or more as required

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, SAP, SharePoint, and related computer applications

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment

  • Ability to navigate active construction sites, including climbing stairs and ladders and working in physically demanding conditions

  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds as needed

  • Visual and physical ability to safely perform job duties, including close vision, depth perception, and mobility across uneven terrain

  • Strong organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills

education

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience

Work Experience

  • Minimum of 10 years of related experience in construction operations or field management

  • Prior experience supporting biotech or pharmaceutical construction projects required
