DEKA is looking for a highly motivated Junior Software Engineer to join a product team developing a new medical device. This is an on-site role, remote and hybrid are not available.
How you will make an impact as a Junior Software Engineer:
Design, implement, and verify safety-critical embedded and UI software across the full development lifecycle, from concept through production and field support.
Involvement in network communications, graphical user interfaces, complex modeling, cryptographic operations and real world interfaces
To be successful in this role, you will need the following skills and experience:
Experience with multithreaded systems and asynchronous messaging
A solid understanding of, and 1 year experience with, Python, C and C++
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience (5 years)
Experience using source control systems and working in a multi-developer environment
Experience in testing software, through unit testing to full software system testing
Experience in technical software requirement writing
Experience in software documentation
Ability to communicate complex design and technical issues verbally and in writing
Experience with network communication implementation a plus
Experience Android and iOS Application development is a plus
Experience with Jenkins machines is a plus
Experience in development of designing software testing infrastructure is a plus
Familiarity with the manufacturing process and manufacturing tools a plus
