Security Guard – Plaza Patrol Driver Full-Time

As a Security Guard – Plaza Patrol Driver Full-Time in Irvine, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a retail or mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a welcoming environment for guests and tenants. This is a driving post, requiring you to operate a vehicle as part of your patrol duties. You will be visible throughout the property, provide strong customer service, and embody our values of teamwork, integrity, and people-first care.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the retail or mall location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues.
• Observe and report any unusual activity, hazards, or maintenance needs within the location.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter theft, vandalism, and other unwanted behavior.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits as required by site procedures.
• Work collaboratively with retail staff, management, and/or local authorities as needed.
• Complete required reports and documentation in a timely and accurate manner.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
